From ITI student to fire safety entrepreneur.

Debasish Mondal developed a strong interest in engineering early on. After a 6–7 year break, he returned to academics, completing his Electro-Mechanics course at Gariahat ITI — laying the foundation of his technical career.

He gained extensive hands-on experience with Pollution Protection System Mumbai (P) Ltd. and TRIAD Fuel Engineering, Bangalore — exposing him to gas detection systems and fuel automation, and revealing the industry’s gaps in service quality, engineering discipline and maintenance.

In 2013, he founded Safety & Security Engineering from his Kolkata home with a clear vision — to be a strategic safety partner, not just another product supplier. Today SSE operates across Eastern India with 15 trained professionals, expanding into government sectors and selected fire safety product manufacturing.
